I stole this idea from an old friend, but it looked like fun. This ACen marked my five year cosplaying anniversary, and I just sort of wanted to see where I came from.
On the left is my Kuchiki Rukia from 2008. My mom made the outfit, I’m using my real hair, which is dyed and styled with gel, and this is the best picture I have of it.
On the right is my Sha Gojyo from 2013. I made the entire outfit without patterns, styled most of the wig (aside from the ahoges), and helped with the prop (mom assembled most of it). I’m bound, wearing colored contacts, and using special effects make up for the scars.
In short, I’ve got a very, very long way to go, but I also think I’ve come a pretty decent way. I have a lot to learn, but I’m pretty proud of what I’ve accomplished in five years.
Sorry for spamming with me, but I just…sort of wanted to post this. Haha sorry!!
Saiyuki: ACen 2013
“Never be captivated by anyone, just live for yourself.”
I adore how these shots turned out. In reality, we were laughing and squinting in the sun and almost falling over, but we managed to get two somewhat decent shots! :D What a fun two days!!
Technically, I was back on Sunday, but I needed a day to recover XD ACen was fantastic this year, and I got to go with a bunch of fantastic people like Alaina, Jazz, Morgan, and Jacob! I ran into a bunch of old friends and made new ones, and just generally had a great time!
If anyone saw us, talked to us, or has pictures of us, let me know! On Friday, I was Conrad Achenleck from Hanna is Not a Boy’s Name:
and on Saturday and Sunday I was Sha Gojyo from Saiyuki:
If you ran into me or us, please feel free to send me an ask! ACen was so great for me and I hope it was fantastic for everyone else, too! :D
Also! All of our pictures are going to be up at What Cosplay!
Saiyuki Anime Central 2013
“From the time I was born, till the day I die, the only side I’m on is my own.”
Just a little sample of our Saiyuki cosplays from ACen 2013. We’ll be posting more later, but we hope you’ll enjoy these for the time being!
This was seriously some of the most fun I’ve had in a costume. I loved cosplaying Saiyuki with all of these fantastic people! I love all of them, and they look fantastic! :D I can’t believe we got to do this. It was so much fun!!! I can’t wait to do another con as Gojyo!
So Alaina and I (Megan) had to move out of our dorm, and we thought we should take a picture of all the horns we had with us. Mind you, not all the horns we’ve MADE, just the ones WITH us. At the time.
Anyway, there’s obviously a lot of them, and we sort of wanted to make silly little comments on them because we’re essentially done cosplaying Homestuck at conventions now, so why not?
Little about blurbs under the cut.
This was really fun to put together, and a great thing to do on the last week of living with Alaina until August!
Cronus/Mituna (with Latula) Photoshoot
(One of the funniest moments in the shoot, I know quite a few who were waiting on this~)
I am so proud to have been one of those Latulas along side magikmutant, man. Sorry for flipping Inkypop and Vexus off, but it was totally worth it.
Ohhhh my gosh. I remember this. It was fantastic. We came back to our seats and Alaina was dying and I asked her why and she said, “Just wait. Just wait until you see what we did behind your back.”
I am so happy omg you guys are fantastic. Ohayocon was great!
And here’s a shot of the full Team Lads from Friday of Shutocon! We had way too much fun in these costumes!
Jazz as photographer
One of the only pictures of us where we’re not just messing around and photobombing each other. Or throwing roses. It was fantastically fun!
I feel like it’s only fair that the first picture to go up from our RTstuck photoshoot should be the one of Team Nice Dynamite/Team Neighborhood Watch playing keep-away with Ray’s rose.
Thank you to Jazz for the photo!
Soooooo this is what I did all of Friday at Shutocon.
It was pretty much incredibly fun. Jazz got this shot on our second try. She’s an amazing photographer.
So much fun was had!
So this is the last set of WIPs that we’ll be putting up before con because we’re almost done and also we don’t want to spam tags XD Anyway! Here’s our Ray and Gavin RTStuck cosplays! Designs taken from the tag and influenced by hannarorz and life-writer!
Anyway! See you at Shuto! Come find us on Friday and Sunday!
I also forgot about this one. I really love this picture for some reason, even though it’s not the best quality. This is from the Funwaystuck meet up sometime around January. Anyway. I just love this picture and wanted to post it because why not?
I forgot to post this! Over Spring break, I was invited to a casual Homestuck meet up. I decided to attend as John. It was really thrown together, but I think it might have turned out okay! Anyway, felt like sharing! ;u;
RTstuck Gavin WIP
Since my Ray posted her WIP a few hours ago, I figured I’d jump on the bandwagon and take a picture myself! Obviously there are like a BILLION things I still need to do for this (including fixing the color of my Time sign omg), but I got so much done today that I wanted to take a picture anyway. And sorry about the lack of like…beard or wig styling or face shading or anything. I dyed the hood and it was legitimately dripping water on the ground so I had to go quickly~
Anyway, my Ray, Michael, and I will be running around like this on Friday and Sunday at Shuto, so if you see us, please feel free to say hello! I’ll post more pictures once I’m finished, too! ;u;
Some pictures from Michigan Dancestuck 2013! Both Megan and I had a blast there, and it was a ton of fun to see everyone again!
Thanks so much to WeirdReview.com for posting these pictures, and to Blue Dragon Media for sniping them during the event <3 We’ll see everyone at Shutocon! :D
its LANCENOTHIDING not Lance-Not-Hiding, oopsy on your part :p
This was so much fun, though! Thank you so much for putting on Dancestuck. I had a great time and it was so good to meet so many of you! ;u; <3 <3
