I stole this idea from an old friend, but it looked like fun. This ACen marked my five year cosplaying anniversary, and I just sort of wanted to see where I came from.
On the left is my Kuchiki Rukia from 2008. My mom made the outfit, I’m using my real hair, which is dyed and styled with gel, and this is the best picture I have of it.
On the right is my Sha Gojyo from 2013. I made the entire outfit without patterns, styled most of the wig (aside from the ahoges), and helped with the prop (mom assembled most of it). I’m bound, wearing colored contacts, and using special effects make up for the scars.
In short, I’ve got a very, very long way to go, but I also think I’ve come a pretty decent way. I have a lot to learn, but I’m pretty proud of what I’ve accomplished in five years.

Saiyuki: ACen 2013

I adore how these shots turned out. In reality, we were laughing and squinting in the sun and almost falling over, but we managed to get two somewhat decent shots! :D What a fun two days!!
Technically, I was back on Sunday, but I needed a day to recover XD ACen was fantastic this year, and I got to go with a bunch of fantastic people like Alaina, Jazz, Morgan, and Jacob! I ran into a bunch of old friends and made new ones, and just generally had a great time!

This was seriously some of the most fun I’ve had in a costume. I loved cosplaying Saiyuki with all of these fantastic people! I love all of them, and they look fantastic! :D I can’t believe we got to do this. It was so much fun!!! I can’t wait to do another con as Gojyo!
So Alaina and I (Megan) had to move out of our dorm, and we thought we should take a picture of all the horns we had with us. Mind you, not all the horns we’ve MADE, just the ones WITH us. At the time.
Anyway, there’s obviously a lot of them, and we sort of wanted to make silly little comments on them because we’re essentially done cosplaying Homestuck at conventions now, so why not?

I am so proud to have been one of those Latulas along side magikmutant, man. Sorry for flipping Inkypop and Vexus off, but it was totally worth it.
Ohhhh my gosh. I remember this. It was fantastic. We came back to our seats and Alaina was dying and I asked her why and she said, “Just wait. Just wait until you see what we did behind your back.”
I am so happy omg you guys are fantastic. Ohayocon was great!

RTstuck Gavin WIP
Since my Ray posted her WIP a few hours ago, I figured I’d jump on the bandwagon and take a picture myself! Obviously there are like a BILLION things I still need to do for this (including fixing the color of my Time sign omg), but I got so much done today that I wanted to take a picture anyway. And sorry about the lack of like…beard or wig styling or face shading or anything. I dyed the hood and it was legitimately dripping water on the ground so I had to go quickly~
